I was brought on to assist in rebranding and creating a new line of packaging for a growing fitness nutrition company with the goal of establishing a more commanding visual presence in the market.
UXO Supplements is a veteran founded company with a mission of providing the world with the cleanest and safest supplements in the industry. With the hardline structure of the military and the ultra-clean formula of the product, we sought to maintain beautiful, clean aesthetic while maintaining a strong and rugged vibe commonly associated with the military.
Since rolling out the new branding, UXO has seen great feedback from retail locations and customers alike. UXO Supplements continues to grow and embrace their bold identity.

Under the Hood
It’s becoming increasingly popular for companies to use 3D renders in place of product photography, and for good reason. Not only is the quality of computer-generated imagery (CGI) better than ever before, using 3D also offers an array of benefits that traditional photography just can’t. Unlimited image resolution, perfect consistency, pre-production visualization, on-the-fly changes, no retouching – just to name a few.
For this particular project, we went with Blender for modeling and Cycles for rendering. All textures were created procedurally within the cycles node graph. In total, around 30 product images were generated. We have the ability to try different lighting styles, backdrop colors, angles and product combinations all without the expense of a studio space.
